   About

I'm Carole, nickname Coco, an artist working from my home studio close to the windswept West Yorkshire moors at the edge of the Peak District national park, an area well known for it's walking trails and wild beauty.

This inspiring backdrop is frequented by pheasants out strolling in their vivid jackets, beady-eyed sparrowhawks and owls swooping in search of dinner.

I make individual fused or stained glass work using traditional stained glass paints and enamels and silver stains to paint stained glass pieces. Layers of painting are kiln fired, often multiple times as the design progresses.

More recently I've begun painting on paper and canvas with watercolours and oil paints. Mixing and applying layers of colour is a never-endingly exhilarating process!

I'm very happy to discuss customer commissions for glass or paintings. Check out my website shop for art and prints.
