A fun introduction to the exciting world of fused glass where you will make a unique item to display in your home or gift to a friend.

What to bring
​
Just yourself, aprons and all materials are supplied. Please wear pumps or shoes - no open toes. Avoid baggy, fluffy or loose sleeves.

First fused glass workshop of 2026
make a Spring Curve or a four sided lantern at Wilshaw Village Hall

In this first workshop of 2026, welcome in the Springtime by making either an eye catching Spring Garden Curve, or a beautiful four sided Lantern.
Spring Garden Curve - perfect for beginners and those familiar with fused glass.
In this much loved 2 hour workshop, you will design then make your own unique freestanding Curve choosing from a wide range of specialist glass textures, colours & shapes to bring your creation to life. Create a fresh Spring garden, or a jolly sheep in a Spring meadow - the choice is entirely your's and I'm on hand to help you out.
You will be working on a flat rectangle of glass, the lovely curve shape happens later...
After the workshop the glass is kiln fired at around 800 degrees. life. It then undergoes a second firing to shape it into a lovely Curve.

​Fused Glass Lantern
Take your glass design skills to the next level in this advanced workshop where you’ll create four textured glass panels for a 21cm tall steel lantern.
Building on your skills and confidence gained from a previous fused glass workshop you’ll work with precise measurements and design constraints to produce your four panels. With a wide range of specialist glass colours and shapes to choose from, you’ll bring your unique designs for a lantern to life.
At the end of the workshop your work will be whisked away to be kiln fired. It will be ready for delivery* within 2 weeks.
*If post & packing is required, a surcharge of £12 per lantern payable at the workshop will cover costs.

In this brand new 1 to 2 hour workshop, you will make one or more pieces of distinctive, eye-catching dichroic glass jewellery, finished post-firing with quality silver plated fittings.
You will create your own designs from a wide range of specialist glass textures, colours & shapes to bring your jewellery to life.
I'm on hand to help you out whatever you choose to make.
Blank bases in a range of colours and shapes will be provided for you to adorn with small fragments of shimmering glass. It's fairly neat and precise work and the results after firing in a hot kiln are random and unique. Come make some one-of-a-kind jewellery!
At the end of the workshop your jewellery will be whisked away to be kiln fired. It will be ready for delivery* within 2 weeks.

Fused Glass Curve Workshop
at Wilshaw Village Hall

As ever in this much loved workshop you can design whatever springs from your imagination! There will be a wide range of easily applied specialist glass textures, colours & shapes to choose from.
However, I am throwing down a challenge to whoever chooses to accept it - make a landscape scene depicting one of your favourite places.
Perhaps a view across Grasmere in the Lake District as the sun hits the shimmering water (as beautifully recreated by a recent student, above) or the hills you can see from your bedroom window, the choice is entirely your's and I'm on hand to help you out. Bring a few photos for inspiration and we'll get cracking.
You will be working on a flat rectangle of glass, the lovely curve shape happens later...
After the workshop the glass is kiln fired to bring your design to life. Your Curve will undergo a second firing to shape it into a lovely freestanding piece of art glass.
All items will be ready for delivery* within 2 weeks.
